I am happy to send a word of greeting to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency on the occasion of its Fifteenth Anniversary. During these years, it has created for itself a distinguished place in the Jewish world.

As a people we have no other weapon for the defense of our rights than that of public opinion. The Jewish Telegraphic Agency, through its extensive and efficient network throughout the world, has disseminated information swiftly and accurately exposing wrongs, rousing the conscience of the world and throwing up fortifications of sympathy and good will about the weak and menaced. Simultaneously, it has served as a means of vital communication between the Jewish and non-Jewish worlds.

Though fifteen years have passed since its inception, I hope it is but on the threshold of a long and useful career.
