Jewish Scientist Receives High Honor in Italy

The Jewish scientist. Ermann Loewinson, who was born in Frankfurt, and who, for many years has occupied the post of chief of the State Archives in Bologna, has been awarded the Order of St. Maurizio e Lazzaro, a very high distinction in Italy.

Mr. Loewinson has published a number of works on the history of the Jews in Italy, especially during the renaissance period.
