Jewish Equality Rule in Poland, Says Envoy

In his first statement to the press, dealing with Poland’s difficulties in connection with Germany, the Polish Ambassador here, Stanislaus Patck, took occasion to emphasize Poland’s equal treatment of the Jews with other racial and religious groups. As proof of this, he pointed to his government’s intervention on behalf of Polish Jews in Germany, saying in part: “In international relations as well as at home all Polish citizens, irrespective of their faith or nationality, are equally protected by the Government. Latcly a proof of this was given by official Polish intervention in the defense of the rights of the Polish citizens of the Jewish faith in foreign countries. Poland’s attitude in these matters is so determined that it should leave no doubt on that score.”
