San Francisco’s Jewish National Welfare Fund drive has been continued indefinitely, with all of the workers determined to continue their efforts until every cent of the quota of $200,000 has been raised.
When the closing date of the drive arrived, 64.3 percent of the goal had been attained, despite an intensive canvass of the city. The workers, at their final luncheon rally, resolved to continue the campaign to a successful close “if it takes all summer.”
Rabbi Irving F. Reichert, campaign director, was presented with a handsome pen and pencil set at the closing luncheon as a token of appreciation for his work.
