The suggestion that the League of Nations deal with the question of the Jews of Germany was made by David Lloyd George, veteran Liberal leader, in an address this afternoon before the Woman’s Liberal Conference at Scarborough.
“Let us talk to Germany on the basis of insisting on a just level of fair-play all around, both for the six hundred thousand Jews in Germany as well as for the Germans themselves,” the former prime minister declared. “It is a fatal error to mix up the abominable treatment of the German Jews with the abominable treatment of Germany by the Allies over disarmament,” he told the conference.
