The Boston united campaign for the relief of Jews in Germany was opened at a dinner at the Bradford Hotel, Sunday, with subscriptions of $21,000 toward the $100,000 quota. More than 350 guests were present.
Rabbi Jonah B. Wise, national chairman of the Joint Distribution Committee, was the principal speaker. Other addresses were delivered by Judge William M. Lewis of Philadelphia, a national chairman; Rabbi Harry Levi, Boston campaign chairman, and Louis E. Kirstein, president of the Associated Jewish Philanthropies. J. L. Wiseman, secretary of the campaign committee, presided.
