Funeral of Rabbi Ellstein

Rabbi Oscar Ellstein, of 233 East 12th Street, who was killed Tuesday when struck by a taxicab at First Avenue and 1st Street, was buried yesterday in Mount Zion Cemetery.

Dr. Ellstein retired ten years ago from his post of leader at the Jewish Home for the Aged on East 10th Street. He also conducted services at Beth Israel Hospital.

He was born in Russia sixty years ago and came to New York City as a young man. He is survived by a widow and four sons, one of whom, Abraham Ellstein, is accompanist for Molly Picon.
