A court in Nablus, (Shechem) yesterday tried four Arabs charged with the murder of Joseph Benjamini at Wadi Hawareth on February 22, this year, and acquitted three. The fourth Arab was sentenced to eighteen months in prison.

Benjamini, a former Jewish legionnaire, was killed and two of his co-workers were injured when a group of 30 Bedouins attacked their settlement in Wadi Hawareth early this year. It was charged at that time that British police stationed nearby did not intervene until after the clash ensued, although it was preceded by a quarrel. Four Bedouins later were captured by members of the colony.
