It is definitely learned here that an agreement was reached during the latter part of March between certain Jewish leaders and the German Ambassador. The agreement was to have been published at that time but at the last moment, the German Ambassador withheld approval of the announcement of what was considered an undignified bargain not calculated to add to the Government’s prestige.

The Jewish Economic Forum, organ of the boycott group headed by Lord Melchett, reports an interview with the press granted by Neville Laski in which he was quoted as saying that he will resign as president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews if, at the meeting this coming Sunday, a resolution supporting the anti-Nazi boycott is forced through.
