Charles H. Schneer, twelve-year-old Jewish boy of this city, has just completed a series of articles which appeared in the Roanoke World-News on the Century of Progress at the Chicago world’s fair.
Young Schneer sent his stories from Chicago and they appeared daily in the paper with his photograph and “by-line.” For the most part the stories were unedited, according to the newspaper executives, and were well-received by the readers of the paper.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
