Govt. Grants Furloughs to Jewish Service Men

In response to the requests of the Jewish Welfare Board, the United States Government, through its various departments, has issued orders granting furloughs to facilitate the homecoming of Jewish soldiers, sailors and coast guardsmen, as well as disabled war veterans, during the Rosh Hashonah and Yom Kippur holidays this year.

The Jewish Welfare Board, with headquarters at 71 West 47th Street, New York City, have received copies of orders arranging for these furloughs from the War Department, the Bureau of Navigation of the Navy Department, the United States Coast Guard and the United States Veteran Administration.
