A new immigration bill, replacing that of August 1, 1932, was contained today in an extraordinary issue of the Palestine Gazette. The bill retains the provisions giving Transjordanians free entrance into Palestine and also giving unlimited power to consular and other passport control officials to impose conditions governing the ordinary cases of immigrants.

In the main, the bill is the same as last year’s and its importance derives from its codification features.
