Jewish agents of American firms in Germany have been ordered by stormtroopers to abandon their positions, a survey of business conditions undertaken by the Jewish Telegraphic Agency revealed today.
It is estimated that hundreds of Jews, including German citizens, those without nationality, and foreigners, in all parts of Germany have been ordered to surrender their positions to “Aryans.” Action against these agents of American business houses was begun immediately following the Hitlerite assumption of power and has continued to the present day.
Reports indicate that with the growth of the threat of boycott from abroad Nazi cells who are ridding every branch of industry of Jewish employees have “turned off the power” as a result of protest by many American employers. Complaints emanating principally from the smaller cities still continue to be lodged, however, and there is every evidence that Nazi interference with American firms here will not be entirely halted for some time.
A number of Jewish representatives for American film concerns are jobless as a result of Nazi demands for their discharge. Others from practically every project in which American money is invested are likewise unemployed.
It is said that only the faithful support of American employers, who staunchly refused to discharge their representatives under pressure of S. A. and S. S. men, curbed the administration’s tendency to tamper with the personnel of American offices in Germany. While a few employers released their Jewish employees without remonstrance, a large number are said to have demanded at Washington protection of their interests.
Action by brownshirts in ousting from employment Jews in German enterprise continues unabating.
