Threats that even German-produced films would be boycotted if even one Jewish actor or director participated in the making of the film, are made by the Deutsche Filmschau.
The paper pointed out that a number of films have been released in Germany recently which were made under the direction of Jews. Particular attention was called to the film called “Tunnel,” where the technicians and several of the leading actors were Jews.
“Do producers believe,” the Filmschau asked, “that the German public, particularly in the provinces, would permit such a state of affairs to continue? As long as any Jews participated in the making of films, no matter in what capacity, even German-made films should be boycotted.”
