The Jewish owner of a Berlin store who does not want his name to be mentioned, told a correspondent of the London Morning Post, according to a story in today’s issue, that two leaders of the Nazi cell in his store, accompanied by four uniformed Brown Shirts, entered his office and accused him of having hidden republican pamphlets in a box in the cellar.
Without listening to his explanations, they took him and his nephew to the barracks of the storm troopers. After two days he was released due to the intervention of high officials. During his imprisonment he was shockingly beaten by the Nazis, his back being torn into ribbons as the result of floggings.
