Rabbi S. D. Hurwitz, of Congregation Beth Israel, was the principal speaker at the Union service arranged by the Protestant Churches of Phoenix.

In his address at the patio of the Trinity Cathedral, Rabbi Hurwitz contrasted the peaceful manner in which America was solving the economic crisis as against the terrorism and bloodshed in other countries.
