The contributions of the Jews to the cultural development of Brazil received high praise here in a speech delivered by Professor Gilberto Amado at a banquet in honor of the Jewish journalist Adolf Eisen on the eve of his departure for the Century of Progress Exposition at Chicago.

Mr. Eisen went to Chicago as one of the group of industrial and cultural leaders who will visit the United States under the auspices of the Touring Club of Brazil.
