Baird Signs Petition

David Baird, Jr., former United States Senator from New Jersey and prominent political leader in the state, signed the B’nai Brith petition to President Roosevelt protesting against the Nazi persecution of Jews and asking the President to intervene for the German Jews. “I was glad to have this opportunity,” Senator Baird stated.

State Senator Albert Woodruff of Camden, State Assemblyman Frank M. Travaline, Jr., and State Supreme Court Justice Ralph W. E. Donges of Camden have also signed the petition.
