Patris, chief Liberal organ of Athens, has just sent to Salonica a representative for the special purpose of examining the reasons for the emigration of the Jews of Salonica to Palestine, whether it is to correct to say that anti-Semitism exists, and, finally, what measures should be adopted to disperse the misunderstanding between the Jewish community and the Liberal party.

To this end, several outstanding personalities in the Jewish Community have received the following questionnaire to which they have been requested to reply:

1 What grievances have you against the Greek State for letting it be believed that you are acting as a cancer in the bosom of the Greek people among whom you live?

2. What complainsts have you against M. Venizelos and other Republican parties, since at the last elections you showed your enmity towards that political faction around which is grouped more than half the country?

3. What do you think should be done for dispersing the misunderstanding, so that Jews and Greeks may live side by side in peace?

4. Please indicate the precise events which, during the last few years, demonstrated the anti-Semitism of the Greek people.
