A double installation ceremony was held Friday evening by members of the Park Avenue Synagogue when Rabbi Milton Steinberg was inducted as the new spiritual leader of the congregation and Rev. David J. Putterman as cantor. Among those who delivered addresses were Professor Louis Finkelstein of the Jewish Theological Seminary, Rabbi Louis I. Newman, of Temple Rodeph Sholom, and Rabbi Israel Goldstein, of Temple B’nai Jeshurun.
