Macdonald is Expected to Condemn Nazi Regime

Download PDF for this date

Prime. Minister J. Ramsay MacDonald is expected to condemn the Nazi regime in Germany at a meeting to be held in Kilmarnock, Scotland, the Evening Standard, a Beaverbrook newspaper, declared today.

In foreshadowing the Prime Minister’s declaration, the Standard stated that in doing this he will act upon the urging of Neville Laski, president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, who in a recent speech in Manchester, urged Prime Minister MacDonald to condemn racial discrimination.

The Standard reminds the Prime Minister that there are more important tasks still before him and warns him not to complicate matters with Germany. At the same time the Standard attacks British philanthropists who busy themselves with the welfare of foreign races while British children are starving.
