Second day Rosh Hashonah services at the Herzl Street synagogue, in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn, were interrupted and a near panic ensued when a woman worshipper died suddenly. The crowd made a rush for the exits, apparently under the impression that Nazi sympathizers had attacked the synagogue. Order was restored only after some difficulty and the services for the day were suspended.
