Horace Samuel Asked to Defend Three Men

clared at first that Stavsky slept in the hotel all night long and that Turgeman had identified him in an identification parade. A second statement declared that Turgeman was uncertain as to whether Stavsky had been the man. Stavsky demanded that statements from Moshe Mendlboim and Jacob Friedman, workingmen who slept in his room at the hotel on the night of June 16, be read. Prosecutor Shitrit again objected, declaring that the two men had been subpoened. The hearing was postponed until October 16.
