Today’s issue of the Vienna Stuermer, virulent anti-Semitic newspaper, carries an attack on the League of Nations as an instrument of the Jews, which was created by the late President Woodrow Wilson. The Stuermer declares that of the 150 experts who assisted President Wilson, 117 were Jews and that the President himself was a Freemason and his wife a Jewess.
In an editorial on the discussion of the Jewish situation carried on at Geneva, the Stuermer denounces all the statesmen who spoke for the Jews as being either Jews or Freemasons, including former Premier Lloyd George of England and former Premier Raymond Poincare of France. President Thomas G. Masaryk of Czechoslovakia, comes in for special abuse.
The Vienna Stuermer, sister paper of the notorious Stuermer of Nuremberg which is edited by Julius Streicher, continues to appear unhindered by the government authorities in spite of its continuous attacks and calumnies against the Jews.
In order to increase its circulation the Stuermer today announced a series of book prizes for subscribers. Henry Ford’s “The International Jew” was among the prize books listed.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
