An intensive effort to bring more Jewish children into the Jewish religious schools, will be made by the West Side Hebrew schools, it was decided last night at a meeting of the Boards of the schools held at the Spanish and Portuguese Synagogue.

“As good Americans, we Jews can do our country no greater service than to give our children a knowledge of the faith and traditions of our people,” declared Judge Otto A. Rosalsky, who delivered the principal address at the meeting. “There is no greater guarantee of a virtuous life, including good and loyal citizenship, than a religious education during the impressionable years of childhood.”

Samuel A. Sternberg, president of Temple Israel, presided at the meeting.
