Prayers for the speedy recovery of Governor Herbert H. Lehman, who underwent an appendicitis operation on Saturday, wil be said daily for the next ten days by the members of the Douglas Street Synagogue in Brownsville.
According to announcement issued yesterday by the three physicians in attendance on the Governor, his condition is satisfactory.
“The Governor spent a comfortable night,” the announcement reads. “He continues to make steady progress.”
