More than $60,000, or $10,000 above the budget for the various participating Jewish philanthropic organizations, has been raised by the Jewish unit of the Community Fund, an incomplete tabulation showed today.

This was the first campaign in which the Federated Jewish Charities was merged with the Community Fund. The showing of the Jewish section of the fund was particularly striking in view of the fact that the fund as a whole is still far below its million-dollar quota. B. F. Saltzstein headed the Jewish unit.
