The Daily Herald, Laborite paper, today suggested the possibility that Dr. Chaim Weizmann, former president of the World Zionist Organization and now the head of the Zionist campaign to aid German Jewish refugees by settling them in Palestine, may be the choice of the London conference, which opens October 29, as the Jewish representative on the autonomous governing body of the commission for refugees established under the auspices of the League of Nations.
The League recommended that in addition to the sixteen countries which were invited to be officially represented on the governing body, representatives of the interested organizations be invited to join in a consultative capacity.
