A weekly newspaper whose masthead carries the legend “Silver Legion Ranger, Liberty Under Law, For Christ and Constitution, Liberation by Right, Take Back the Nation from the Alien”, is being published every Wednesday in this city. William Dudley Pelley, self-styled commander-in-chief of the “army for liberation”, is publisher, and J. H. Craig is the editor of the newspaper, whose offices are at 408 Northwest Second Street.
The front page of The Silver Ranger features a story assailing the Jews for making an attempt to “undermine Christianity” in a single generation.
Other front page stories proclaim the fact that Mayor-elect Fiorello H. LaGuardia was “picked” by the Jews for the purpose of “putting over Communism” in the nation, that the recognition of Soviet Russia by the United States constitutes a victory for the Jews who “control” the Soviet and that the “wolves of Jewish propaganda” who are masquerading “in the sheep’s clothing of an ‘innocent’ and ‘persecuted’ people” are threatening to seize the United States for a national homeland.
The National Recovery Administration Program of President Roosevelt is said by the editors of the Silver Legion to be the scheme of Jewish financiers to strengthen control of the country. The blue eagle emblems are termed “silly Jewish birds.”
“Americans!” continues the story, “do you know that the Jews run our government today? Did you ever hear of our real President—Mr. Bernard M. Baruch, a Jew, Dictator of America?
“Do you know that at least one-fourth of all the Jews in the world are in this country, and more are expected? Do you know that these 5,000,000 Jews control 65% of the wealth of these United States? Do you know that Bolshevism is Judaism? And that 90% of all Communist leaders in America are Jews?”
