St. Paul Conference Plans Religious Schools

The organization of religious schools and the problem of Jewish education are under consideration by the Northwest conference for the Perpetuation of Judaism, organized recently under the auspices of the Department of Synagogue and School Extension of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations. The unit has already succeeded in creating small religious schools throughout the area of the Middle West.

A series of neighborhood conferences have been called by Rabbi Harry S. Margolies of this city, Albert G. Minda of Minneapolis and Philip W. Jaffa, field secretary of the Union, in the following cities: Rochester, Minnesota; St. Cloud, Minn.; Hibbing, Minn. and Fargo, North Dakota. A conference is scheduled for April when plans for establishing religious schools in other states will be made.
