German Sporting Groups Expell Jewish Members Scorning A.a.u. Caution

In spite of the assurances against the existence of anti-Jewish discrimination which were cabled to the American sport body, the Amateur Athletic Union, the various and many athletic groups throughout the Reich continue to enforce rulings barring Jewish youths from sport competition.

In Mayence all Jews were expelled from the skiing club.

The association of life guards has expelled all of its Jewish members and ruled that Jews may not hence-forth be engaged as life guards on municipal beaches.

The Deutscher Turnverein, a gymnastic association, ordered all affiliates to expel Jewish members.

Reports from several cities indicate that Jewish war veterans have turned down the advantages offered them in the form of exemptions, on the ground that their war services were rendered by them as part of the integral body of German Jewry, and that the rights conferred on them belong to all German Jews.
