The United Synagouse of America through the organizaton’s executive concil has declared war on obscence literature and plays. In a resolution passed by that body, all constituent groups are called upon to arouse public sentiment aganist obscenity.
”The resolution is not direct4ed against the legitimate theatre, which fills a need in the community, or against any magazine or periodical, the content of which is not salacius in character,” Louis J. Mouss, president of the United Synagoguse of America, said. It is aimed at the magazin and the show which have neither literary nor artistic merit and whose only attraction is their appeal to hase instinct and emoton.”

Tosha Seidel, who is contributing his artistry to the People’s ORT Feberation, will give a recital on Thursday afternoon at Town Hall. The sponsoring committee includes Cyrus Levinthal, chairman; Bernard S. Deutsch and Judge Edward Lazansky honrary vice-chairman.
