New Law Strikes at Reich Jewish Lawyers

An order regulating the relations between Aryan and Jewish lawyers was issued today by the presidium of the All-German Chamber of Lawyers. The new regulations prohibit Aryans from maintaining any professional relationship with lawyers dismissed because of their Jewish descent. They are also forbidden to rent offices next to Jewish lawyers, or to share offices with them. The regulations forbid the camouflaging of cases of Jewish lawyers by handling their cases in court, or by entering into partnership with them.

Those Aryan lawyers who entered into partnership contracts with Jewish lawyers after September 14, 1930, were ordered to break the contracts at once. However, Aryan lawyers were prohibited from displaying signs such as “Deutsche Anwalt”, German lawyer.
