Five travellers on a trans-continental bus that plies between New York and San Franciso are the spokes for this fast moving picture called”Cross Country Cruise” now current at the Roxy. Lew Ayres, June Knight, Alich White, and Alan Dinehat are the featured players. It is all very movie-like but enteraining. Universal produced the picture and Eddie Buzzell was the director. The screen adaptation was done by Elmer Harris from the story of Stanley Rauh
In addition to “Cross Country Cruise” and a new Walt Disney Mickey Mouse cartoon “Steeplechase,” There is a stage show headed by that old time vaudeville favorite, Trixie Friganza. Others on the bill are Vera Van, Celumbia chain radio singer, the Four Franks and th Espeys, Hungarian dacers.
