Endeks Attack Jews in Warsaw Riots

Jews were attacked today in the very center of Warsaw during a demonstration organized by the Endek National Democrats,anti-Semitic,anti-government political group protesting against the new constitution recently promulgated by the Pilsudski regime.

In the last few days frequent attacks have been made on Jews in Warsaw streets and many windows in Jewish shops smashed. Police arrested seventeen of the Endek hooligans,but the anti-government activities of the Endeks,which is taking an anti-Semitic form continues.

In the city of Czestochowa,the district court sentenced an Endek youth to serve eighteen months in jail for a brutal attack on David Altman,the Jewish editor of the government newspaper,Glos Czestochowski.

The Polish Nazi group today began to issue two new journals, one in Krakow called Swastika,and one in Kattowice named Warta.
