Arrangements have been completed for the immediate settling of the first organized colony of middle-class Jews on the land of the Jewish National Fund at Waadi-Hawarath, it was announced yesterday by the Mizrachi Organization of America. This unit, consisting of twenty-five families, is the first in a general movement by the Mizrachi in their campaign to establish settlements of middle-class families in Palestine.
Each family will be allotted 22 dunams of land, worth £520, which may be used for orange groves, vegatables, and other necessary products. This allotment is made in the form of a loan to be repaid by the settleer in small installments over a period of five years.
A new corporation to be known as Chevrah Lehisyashruth, Inc. has been estalished by the Mizrachi office if Jerusalem to manage all future colonization.
