According to the German Inmigration Department statisties 311,699 aliens passed through German seaports during the years 1919 to 1931. Of these three hundred thousand odd transmigrants only 11,299 stayed for any considerable period in Germany. Nbl statisties are available regarding the race or religion of these people but assiming a high percentage, 10,000 is the maximum figure for those transmigrants of Jewish origin who resided for any long time in Germany.
