“Peace on Earth,” the anti-war play at the Civic Repertory Theatre, is approaching the one hundredth prformance, with one important change in the cast. Beginning last night Maurice Wells replaces Robert Keith in the role of Peter Owens. Mr. Keith has been engaged by Guthrie McClintic for his forthcoming production of Sidney Howard’s “Yellow Jack.”

Theatre union, producers of “Peace on Earth,” also announce the withdrawal of this play within a few weeks, and are now preparing a new play entiled “Stevedore.”

EVA LE GALLEINNE ON TOUR

Eva Le Gallienne and her troupe of players continue their successful touring, and are at present reporte in San Francisco, where Miss Le Gallienne will offer three Ibsen plays. The plays are “Hedda Gabler,” ” A Doll’s House” and “The Master Builder.” Josephine Hutchinson, Paul Lewyeac and Egon Brecher appear in support of Miss Le Gallienne.

“LEGAL MURDER”

“Legal Murder” announces the opening for Thurdady night at the President Theater. This play by Dennis Donoghue, postponed from a schedule openig last week, has undergone recasting and the direction taken over by S. Jay Kaufman.

GROUP THEATRE CHANGES

Morris Carnovsky, Russell Colins an Lewis Leverett, at present appearing in “Men in White,” will leave the cast to appear in the Group Theater’s forthcoming production of “Gentlemen.” Others engage for the new play are Zamah Cunningham, Franees Williams and Neal O’Melley.

ACTOR’S DINNER CLUB

Bessie Beatty, president of the Actor’s Dinner Club, will be mistress of ceremoneis thsi evening at th Hotel Woodstock. The progam includes Virginia an Mary Drane, Lucretia Craig, Pauline Pierce an Wesley Osmand.
