Defense counsel Horace Sameul, who i continuing his cross-examination of Abdul Mejid el Bendi Bukhari, youthful Arab who last week confessed that he murdered Dr. Chaim Arlosoroff. today extracted further contradictions from the witness, as well as many alleged details af the murder not mentioned by the widow, Mrs. Sima Arlosoroff, and other witnesses who testified earlier in the trial. Three Rivisionstsd. Aba Achimeier, Abraham Stavsky an Zvi Rosenblatt, are accused of the crime.
Abdel Mejid first confessed, then withdrew his confession asserting that Stavsky and Rosenblatt offered him £1,000 to own his guilt of the murder.
The notes made by Volonel Rice during the exsmination of the Arab were read in court, revealing an iteresting conversation between Abdul Mejid an Issad Arwish, follow conviet, who in the original confession was supposed to have fired the shots that killed Dr. Arlosoroff.
As Colonel Rice was reading his notes in which Abdul Mijid wa quoted a saying “ask Stavsky an Resenblatt how they killed with Achimeler’s instructions,” Achimeier jumped up from his place an exciteddly shouted: “You are a liar and a murder!”
BROWNSVILLS REELECTS HEBREW SCHOOL BOARD
The entire official board of the Brownsville Hebrew Free School succeeds itself for another term, the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish charities announced yeaterday. Sixty-five directors were also chosen along with: I. Frankel, president; I . Hashowitz, A. Hoffman, A. Marcus and J. Rivkin as vice-president; L. Shepeloff treasurer; Abraham Kaplan, honorary president; A. Weinstein, honorary secretary; and H. Handler; principel of the school.
