Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization, is beginning its twenty-second year of constructive work in Palestine. Organized by Henrietta Sxold, hte outstanding leader among the womem of the world interested in the rebuilding of Zion, the Hadassah hospitals and health centers have actually opened the eyes of trachoma – afflicted Jews, Arabs and Christians; they have broken down superstitious inhibitions aganst medical treatment; they have taught the children and the parents the rules of hygiene, and have been effectively helpful in stamping out malaria in the Holy Land. They have accomplished these and many other positive achievements under the motto of “the healing of my people,” but in their humanitarian work they did not discriminate against the sick of other faiths who sought aid in Hadassah hospitals and health centers, Thus the Hadassah has created genuine goodwill and friendly reiations between Arabs and Jews, despite the constant agitatioins of the Arab propagandists who who are inciting the Arab masses against the Jews. The Hadassah has also performed the miracle of uniting the various factions in the Zionist movement on hteir program of hunmanitarian work. Under the guildance of the inspired idsalist and far-sighted leader, Henrictta Szold, the Hadassah has rendered and is now rendering a service to the Jewish people that will never be forgotten.

The Women’s Zionist Organization of America merits high praisoe for the enthusiasm, organization ability, devotion and sacrifices which have made posible the achievements of the Hadassah in Palestine. It is a record of which the Jewish women of would may be proud.
