There is much propaganda bine circulated here asking that Arabs boycott the elections scheduled in the Jerusalem municipality. Arab newspapers are taking the lead in spreding the demands for the boycott.
Palestine reports that a number of Moslem leaders have been compaigning toward this end. The motive behind the strike is the municipal corporation bill which is said to be more reactionary than the Turkish Municipalities law, and vests wide powers in the High Commissioner.
Arabs fear that control over them will be tightened considerably. Merrat Al Sherk, Christian Arab bi-weekly published in the Holy City, asks Jewish support for the boycott on the contention that both religious bodies are interested in the same purpose.
