Eli Daiches, forty-five year old advertising executive who was killed by unknown assassins Saturday, left two-thirds of the residue of his estate to his wife, the former Belle Turner, who at present is in Palestine. She will return at once from her tour.

The remaining third of the residue passes to Rabbi Israel Hyman Daiches, of Leeds, England, the deceased man’s father; $5,000 is given to the Jewish charities of Chicago; $1,000 to the Jewish Theological Seminary of New York; $500 to the Jewish College in London; $500 to the Jewish Board of Guardians in Leeds; $500 to the Beth Hamidrosh Hagadol. Synagogue in Leeds; $1,000 to the Hebrew Theological Seminary of Chicago and 1,000 to each of three personal friends.

Rabbi Daiches, patriarchal senior rabbi in the city of Leeds, has not yet been informed of his son’s death, according to word received here.

The killing has baffied police investigators, who have postponed the inquest until Mrs. Daiches’ arrival from the Holy Land. The advertising executive was found riddled with machine gun bullets in his automobile Saturday near the hotel where he lived.
