Fourteen labor leaders of the colony of Hedera were given a choice between paying a fine of ten pounds or serving a month in prison because they have been implicated in recent labor disorders.

The British magistrate who issued the verdict said that he is making the punishment more severe than usual in order to bring a stop to the disputes and clashes which have been frequent of late.
