Germany today is suffering tremendously from a “ruthless, medieval, barbaric and sometimes almost savage dictatorship under Hitler,” Sherwood Eddy, noted lecturer and author, told 250 Catholic, Protestant and Jewish students at the closing session of the Rhode Island Youth Conference on World Peace held at Faunce House, Brown University.

Nazi Germany presents the most serious menace to peace, he said.

In addition to addresses by prominent leaders of the three faiths, the two-day conference featured discussion groups. Among the leaders were Rabbi Israel M. Goldman of Temple Emanu-El and Rabbi William G. Brande of Temple Beth-El.
