Problems connected with the furthering of traditional Judaism will be discussed at a meeting on Sunday of the executive council of the Capital District region of the United Synagogue of America, to be held at Congregation Beth El of Troy, N. Y., it was announced here by Samuel Freedman, president of the branch.
Reports will be presented on the organization’s “spiritual recovery program,” on legislative action in connection with Kashruth, and on men’s club and young people’s league activities. Among those who will present the reports are A. C. Goldstein of Troy, Rabbi Samuel N. Sherman of Schenectady, Rabbi Abraham Simon of Albany, Rabbi Joseph S. Goodman of Amsterdam and Rabbi Joel S. Geffen of Troy. Irwin I. Hyman of New York will speak at a convention of local young people’s groups.
