“Our President has failed to make a protest to the German government because he realizes that men of barbaric instincts and ruthless ambition who are in control there would ignore or ridicule such a move from the United States Government,” it was asserted by Arthur J. Messing at last night’s meeting of the Men’s Association of Temple Rodeph Sholom, 7 West Eighty-third street.

“As long as the rights of the American citizens are not involved,” Messing continued, “we have no official or legal right to interfere in the internal affairs of Germany. I believe that we should bend every effort to get the Jews out of Germany.”
