Prizes in the metropolitan interuniversity essay contest for Jewish students writing on Jewish subjects, were awarded at a meeting at Temple Israel Friday night, by Rabbi Baruch Braunstein, counselor to Jewish students at Columbia University. No first prize was awarded.
The second prize of $15 went to Meyer Levine, law student at New York University, for his essay on “Have Jews a Future?” Jack Lauder, of Long Island University, writing on “Fascism and Judaism; Are They Compatible?” received the third prize of $10.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
