That the Jews should follow the teachings of Moses, emulate Mordecai and be exemplary citizens, was the keynote of the Passover message delivered by I. Z. Finkel, president of Temple B’nai Zion, before the congregation. He attributed to the rejection of faith the cause of conditions in Germany.
“When the Hitler axe of persecution fell upon the Jew, those who forsook their religion to escape it suffered even more tortures than those who were steadfast in their faith,” he said.
