On March 13 the Jewish Daily Bulletin published a lengthy cablegram from its Berlin correspondent to the effect that a new and more intense anti-Jewish boycott was being prepared in Germany for the Easter holidays. The details of the scope and intensity of the new boycott wee enumerated. This report was disseminated by the Jewish Telegraphic Agency to the newspapers using its news service in various parts of the world. The general press and the large American news agencies for some reason overlooked at first the news of the newly projected boycott. Even the Yiddish newspapers, with few exceptions, failed to publish this important news story. Now, after a lapse of more than a week, comes detailed confirmation of the magnitude of the new anti-Jewish boycott planned in Nazi Germany.

The effect produced by the publication of the report in various lands has apparently forced the Nazis to proceed with greater caution. The Bavarian Minister of Economies, Dr. Esser, addressing the Industrial Chamber of Nuremberg, now warns the Nazis against arbitrary interference “with economic developments which might mean the end of Germany’s economic life.”

The Nazis may be foolhardy and obstinate enough to go through with their project, even though the wiser and saner men in Germany realize that this would hasten the economic self-destruction of Germany.

Hitlerism will be isolated and defeated by its own criminal blunders. The press of the world can crush Hitlerism by constantly shedding light on the dark deeds and motives of those who now rule and ruin Germany and who threaten the peace and the welfare of the whole world.
