Sir Osmond E. d’Avigdor Goldsmid, well known Jewish communal worker, issued a statement today through the Jewish Telegraphic Agency praising the creation of the United Jewish drive for funds for the German refugees instituted in the United States.

“I am extremely gratified that American Jews have agreed to unite with European Jewry on the appeal for the German refugees,” Sir Osmond declared. “I am sure that great political as well as financial gains will result from this move.

“I am convinced that this solidarity will greatly benefit the Jews of Europe,” Sir Osmond said.
